Manuscript paintings (c.1200s) picturing (top) the orbit of Venus (falak al-zuharah), and (below) the orbit of the sun (falak al-shams),  from an Ottoman Turkish version of 'The Wonders of Creation (Marvels of Creatures and Strange Things Existing)', an antique cosmological text.
